The town is a significant historical and natural reserve and it is a frequented tourist and spa destination.
There are two spas in the town – the Berta´s Spa and the Aurora Spa. The Třeboň Fishery, the largest fishery in Europe, is settled here, as well as the Regent Brewery which was established in 1379 and belongs to one of the oldest breweries in the world.
The Třeboň castle is the fifth largest castle of its kind in the Czech Republic and the State Regional Archive is located there.
The former Augustin monastery is a jewel of South Bohemian gothics. The Třeboň Protected Landscape Area and the UNESCO Biospheric Reserve are looked after by the Institute of Landscape Ecology of the Czech Academy of Science.
The town of Třeboň and its surroundings are suitable for hiking, cycling and horseback riding during summer months.
